Roodlea Barn Wedding Photography

Roodlea Barn near Ayr was the beautiful setting for Danielle and Andrew’s recent wedding. Situated in Ayrshire, Roodlea Barn is a single use wedding and events venue with a rustic but luxurious feel to it. From a Scottish wedding photographer’s point of view the barn is fantastic to shoot in due to the vast amounts of light coming through the window doors at the back of the barn. There’s also plenty of outdoor open space to take couples for their portraits. This is an ideal venue for couples who want to make a few days of their wedding with Roodlea only taking two bookings per week. This allows couples to stay at the onsite cottage both on the day before their wedding and the evening of their wedding.

The day started off with bridal prep in the cottage. There was such a relaxed feel to the morning as the girls took their time getting ready over a few glasses of Prosecco. We then went for a ‘first look’ with Danielle and her Dad which was such a lovely moment to capture.

Andrew and his groomsmen arrived in plenty of time to capture some shots of them before the ceremony. And what a lovely ceremony it was! Conducted by the ever impressive Tasha the Celebrant, there was such a beautiful flow and vibe to proceedings.

Once the formalities were complete we captured the family shots and a few portraits before making sure Danielle and Andrew spent as much time as possible with their guests before the meal. It’s always important to make sure this part of the day is enjoyed by the couple as further portraits can also be captured after the meal when other guests are still eating.

Roodlea Barn is by far one of my favourite barn venues and I can’t wait to go back there in a couple of months time! As a Glasgow Wedding Photographer Roodlea is only a short distance away which is ideal.
