Glencoe; what a stunning location for Neha and Ricky’s engagement shoot! Such a beautiful part of the country and wonderfully fitting for this amazing couple!
As a Glasgow Wedding Photographer it’s a wonderfully scenic 2.5 hour drive up past Loch Lomond then onto Crianlarich, Tyndrum and Bridge of Orchy before hitting the vast and expansive Rannoch Moor. I was due to meet Neha and Ricky at Kingshouse Hotel so I deliberately left Glasgow early to stop and capture some landscape images of Rannoch Moor for them. I’ve always been fascinated by the beautiful reflections across the moor on a calm morning therefore thankfully the weather held up and I was able to capture a few frames.
From Rannoch Moor I then headed along to The Kingshouse Hotel to meet Neha and Ricky where we captured a few shots before making our way towards Glen Etive. We stopped at the waterfall on River Etive which would normally provide the perfect foreground for a shot of Buachaille Etive Mòr. However, there wasn’t much water in the river to speak of so we captured a few more candid images walking on the banks of River Etive with the glorious Buachaille Etive Mòr in the background.
We then drove through Glencoe and stopped at The Three Sisters before finally reaching Loch Achtriochtan which was simply stunning! As you can see from these images the reflection was absolutely perfect!
I’ve got another couple of engagement shoots planned for Glen Coe in the summer so please keep an eye out for future blogs.
In the meantime, I can’t wait to shoot Neha & Ricky’s wedding over the summer at the beautiful Boturich Castle on Loch Lomond.
If you’ve recently got engaged or are planning your wedding i’d love to hear from you so please get in touch to check on availability and to have an informal chat.
